- Place the other end of the hose outside or in a drain.
- Open the valve and let the water flow out until it's clear.
Doing this every 6 months can make a big difference!
2. Use a water softener
A water softener can help reduce the minerals flowing through your tank. It uses salt to replace the calcium and magnesium. Installing one can protect your tank and all your plumbing.
