Yes, your appliance warranty protection can move with you. Just notify us of your change of address, and we’ll make sure your coverage continues. Moving your protection plan will reset your 1-year term and the 30-day waiting period to make a claim.

What we cover:
Your warranty membership covers you when your dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer has a sudden breakdown. It covers $10,000 per year across all appliances for repairs and replacements. This includes both parts and labour.    

Our service techs will try to fix the issue. If it can’t be fixed, it may be time for a new appliance.    

On unfixable appliances less than 15 years old, this warranty will contribute to your appliance replacement costs. You'll receive a settlement equal to either the cost of repair or the price of a similar replacement product, whichever is lower. The maximum payout for replacements is $2,000. What we don't cover:

You’re covered against spontaneous mechanical breakdowns. That includes parts and labour for repairs. However, there are some circumstances that are not covered by this warranty:  

• Preventative maintenance  
• Breakdown that was reasonably foreseeable on or before the Effective Date of coverage.    
• Hidden defect  
• Improper installation, construction methods or materials  
• Improper use of the appliance (as per the manufacturer) resulting in damage  
• Damage from freezing, ice, snow, rain, lightning, wind, roots, water, explosion, vandalism, earthquake, electrical failure, inadequate voltage, flood, war, civil unrest or malicious mischief  
• Rust or corrosion

There’s a $50 fee per repair issue. This effectively caps repair costs at $50 per breakdown, as long as you stay within the yearly coverage amount. You're covered up to a maximum coverage amount of $10,000 total across all your covered appliances. That’s comprised of $2,000 per appliance type per year.  

Call 1-888-865-9711 to initiate your claim. We’re available 24/7 to take your report and arrange for service. Within 48 hours of your claim report, a qualified appliance technician will be dispatched to your home. We move quickly to get your core home appliances back up and running sooner.

You bet! When you make a claim, our service techs will handle the full repair including all parts and labour. You only pay a $50 fee per repair visit. You’re covered up to $2,000 per year per appliance type.

Of course! In fact, we suggest you do renew the home appliances warranty year over year. Your coverage automatically stays active, rolling month to month once your 1-year term ends.  

We’ll send you a reminder notice before the plan renews. Once on the month-to-month plan, you can cancel any time.

Yes, you can cancel your warranty with ATCO Energy at any point in time. A $50 cancellation fee will be charged upon cancellation.  30 days’ notice is required.

Yes, there is a waiting period of 30 days from the time you sign up for the Appliance Protection Plan. After 30 days, you're free to make claims on all appliance types covered by your plan.
